Constructing Excellence Kent – Back in the room for 2026!
This week saw the first event for Constructing Excellence Kent, with our Ellie officially stepping into her role as Chair.
It was great to see so many faces in the room, with many new connections made too. The January weather did not dull the atmosphere, with lots of excitement for what 2026 will bring.
Two interesting presentations on the day linked with Constructing Excellence Kent‘s theme for this year – ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฎ. David Shields delivered an important update on fire door regulation and the significance of efficiency gained in early design stages. Following this, our Rob and Matt Watts delivered a session on one of our local projects – National Trust Ightham Mote, a project delivered for the National Trust which ticks many boxes relating to efficiency, from the project team, design, cost, and on site operations. The use of hempcrete was a particular highlight and prompted fantastic engagement from the audience.
