Modern Slavery Act

STATEMENT OF INTENT

The Woodley Coles LLP will endeavour to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place within our directly employed workforce or any of our supply chain.

We have implemented a number of processes to ensure, as reasonably practical, that our supply chain adhere to our expectations in respect of their workforce. The Woodley Coles LLP have instructed, where appropriate, that our supply chain should be registered with ConstructionLine or have completed a pre-qualification process, which is aligned to PAS91.

The Woodley Coles LLP have a transparent recruitment process which is reviewed regularly. We communicate directly with candidates to discuss the job opportunities and to confirm the details of any offer made. We have audited procedures in place for the vetting of new employees and ensure that we are able to confirm their identities and that they are paid directly into an appropriate and personal bank account, at or above minimum wage.

The Woodley Coles LLP carry out audits on our supply chain partners, which incorporates audits of supplier’s works on our projects, to ensure that they are compliant with our requirements and expectations. Suppliers employing or providing Non-UK Nationals undergo appropriate investigation to understand their requirement methods and their management of permits and working visas. Responsibility is also taken for ensuring that all employees within The Woodley Coles LLP and our supply chains have full awareness of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

The regulation that we have put in place must be met by our supply chain, where they are required to demonstrate the steps they have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of their business. On every occasion, the information obtained during this process is vetted to make sure they comply with our regulations.

Reviewing the Policy
We regularly review and update this policy to ensure continued compliance with developments in Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking legislation.
