For lenders and funding institutions, the role of the Monitoring Surveyor is becoming ever more important in providing assurance that lending arrangements remain viable, properly managed and secure.
We work closely with funders, developers and project teams to provide clear reporting, accurate valuations and practical advice throughout project delivery.
A Monitoring Surveyor independently reviews and monitors construction projects on behalf of banks, lenders and other funding institutions.
This typically includes assessing project feasibility and financial viability, monitoring construction progress, reviewing drawdown requests and reporting on programme, cost and risk throughout the build process.
The role provides assurance that projects are progressing in accordance with approved budgets, programmes and funding agreements, while helping identify potential issues at an early stage.
Following an initial detailed report and project appraisal, we carry out regular site inspections, monitor construction progress and prepare interim monitoring reports throughout the construction phase.
We also undertake valuations of construction activity and review project documentation to help ensure all appropriate information is in place to facilitate the drawdown of funds.
Our reporting helps funders maintain visibility over project performance while supporting proactive management of cost, programme and risk.
